Although two lines of embroidery stitches are very similar, the differences are best seen when comparing each finished stitch as a single piece of rope.
The twisting direction of the rope is exactly opposite with the outline stitch and the stem stitch.

This time, I used wool thread so that the flow of the thread is easy to understand, so the outline stitch has a smoother finish.
