The twisting direction of the rope is exactly opposite with the outline stitch and the stem stitch.

This time, I used wool thread so that the flow of the thread is easy to understand, so the outline stitch has a smoother finish.
If you use No. 25 embroidery thread or thin embroidery thread, the appearance will also change.

Comparing curved outline stitch and stem stitch
