【１】Beginning stitch | Line French knot stitch

Make Beginning stitch near the start position

Make Beginning stitch to hide the French knot stitch that will be embroidered later.
The stitch at the beginning of stitching is completed by stitching two small straight stitches as shown in the video.

The point is to make the stitch at the beginning of the stitch as small as possible on the draft line.
This allows the French knot stitch to be completely hidden and the back of the embroidery to be less bulky.

【２】How to French knot stitch

(1) Cross the needle under the thread
(2) Holding the thread together with the finger holding the needle
(3) Hook the thread by moving the needle tip clockwise with respect to the thread above the finger (fabric side)
(4) Move the thread on your side from the front to the back and put it on the needle
(5) Insert the needle near the thread
(6) Slowly pull the thread to move the knot onto the cloth
(7) Pass the needle through the back of the fabric, being careful not to tangle the knot.

【３】When the yarn becomes a dumpling

Due to the tendency of the thread to twist during the French knot stitch, the thread may become a bun during embroidery.
It is better not to pull the thread too fast (not to pull it too hard) so that you can stop it immediately.

How to deal with a knot
Hook the needle into the knot and slowly pull it up.

Twisted threads can easily get tangled, so it is important to remove twisted threads regularly.

【４】End stitch | Line French knot stitch

Create an end stitch between the French knot stitches.

Shifting the French knot stitch with your finger makes it easier to see between the stitches.
Just like the stitch at the beginning of the stitch, two small straight stitches will be the stitch at the end of the stitch.
Between the grains of the French knot stitch, proceed with one small straight stitch at a time.

【５】Beginning and End stitch | Filling French knot stitch

Beginning stitch to embroider is completed by piercing two small straight stitches inside the embroidery design.。
Make it near the start of the French knot stitch.

The stitching at the end of stitching is the same method as at the beginning of stitching.
Insert two small straight stitches between the French knot stitches.
Be careful not to cut the French knot stitch when cutting the end of the thread.
