Sfil is a coined word combining surprise and fil, which means surprise and thread.
The name reflects our desire to create surprises from yarn.
Through embroidery, I hope to create art that is fun, interesting, and touches the heart through trial and error.

About embroidery

I have been studying French embroidery for 14 years and haute couture embroidery for 8 years, and I am still studying and working on it.
I started learning French embroidery using books and kits, and have continued to learn bit by bit in the evenings and on weekends to get to where I am today.
The artist I admire values ​​free embroidery expression that is not bound by conventions, and I also cherish that same spirit in my embroidery work.

I am currently attending a class to learn haute couture embroidery.
I would like to study a professional course in haute couture embroidery at an embroidery school in Paris, France.
It would take a total of more than six months of time, so this is one of the goals I have yet to achieve.

Creating gorgeous embroidered decorations remains an exciting experience for me, even after all these years.

The reason why I chose embroidery as my creative endeavor is that I can freely draw the designs and express myself freely with the materials I use.
